Beaune 1er Cru "Vignes Franches"
Pinot Noir | 750ml | Premier Cru
A classic Premier Cru from Maison Louis Latour, Beaune Vignes Franches takes its name from an ancient tax exemption—“franches de dixme”—meaning “free from tithes.” The vineyard’s ideal southeast exposure and limestone-clay soils produce wines that balance power and finesse, showcasing the expressive character of Beaune’s terroir.
Grapes are hand-picked and fermented in traditional open vats before aging for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, with 35% new oak, medium toasted by the Louis Latour cooperage. The result is a wine of deep color, supple tannins, and refined complexity.
